Cheerleading Competition in Tacoma

On Feb 27 and 28 we were in Tacoma for a cheerleading competition. Just a couple of pics from that weekend.

Torch Relay

On Sunday the torch relay came through Abbotsford. We walked a couple of blocks from our house and we got to see the torch. It was very cool. My 10 yo daughter said "I will never forget seeing the torch". I'm so glad she and her brother got the opportunity to see it.

Hello everyone. I'm back with some artwork this time. My brother's girlfriend's daughter(wow what a mouthful) had a birthday yesterday and I offered to make a gift card holder for her. This is what I did.

She's 15 and absolutely loved it. I used some old SU designer paper and and old SU stamp as well.

Happy New Year!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I've been doing some scrapbooking and I made two albums for Christmas this year. I will hopefully take some pictures soon. I also got a Cricut for Christmas and have been playing with that as well.

I don't know where all the time went. I have been doing alot of scrapbooking as we went to Disneyland in August, but I haven't taken any pictures. Hopefully soon I'll find some time. I have also been working on something for my hubby for Christmas.

I do have a card to share with you today. It's my Mom's birthday today, which I have go and make a card for her after I post my MIL's birthday card. This had to go in the mail, her birthday is Thursday that's why this one was made first.

Hopefully you and she like it. I got the idea from a card that Faith (AKA Markie's mom) made.

Pretty Flowers

We went to a friend of ours place on Saturday to pick blueberries and the kids and I tooks some pictures of their pretty flowers. My 13 yo son took the first 3 photos, my 9 yo daughter the 4th photo and I took the last photo.

The kids both had birthday parties to go to so I made cards for them.

The first one is a Dustin Pike image colored with Copics. Creme Brulee cardstock - CTMH, sentiment CTMH, brads CTMH, black memento ink, and patterned paper from my stash.

The second one I used Makin' Waves from CTMH and Animal Cookies Creative Basics from CTMH. Sentiment is from CTMH as well. Colored with Copics, tulip and white daisy cardstock.

Card Boxes

I was surfing some of my favorite blogs and Christina over at http://christinathesassyscrapper.blogspot.com/ had this really cute card box from Tresa at

This tutorial is so easy to follow and I think they came out great. The first one I random stamped and it holds regular cards 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. The second one I used some scraps of patterned paper to make it look pretty, I also altered the size of the second one to hold 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 embossed cards from Michaels (from the $1.50 section).

All supplies are from CTMH.

Shout Out To Sheetload

I get the SheetLoad updates by email, and this is the first time that I have ever participated. I love the fact that they give complete cutting diagrams, and lots of examples for you to go by. This was fun making this and I will have to go back and print out some more to try. Thank you SheetLoad. Here is my Shout Out, not too sure I'm loving the combination I choose. I think I might try another later.

I used all CTMH supplies except the 2 clear sparkles.

I have been so busy that I haven't had time to even go in my craft room. It's been about a week. I had a play night with my stampin' up friend last week, and we made 3 different things. Hopefully I'll be able to take pics of them and post soon.

I found this cute purse on http://paperpleasing.typepad.com/my_weblog and I thought that I would give it a try. The tutorial is very easy to follow and it went together in no time.

I decided to create this for a gift basket I'm doing for a cheerleading competition that my daughter's club is hosting this weekend.

The paper I used is from CTMH, cocoa, blush and colonial white cardstock, as well as some cocoa cafe pattern paper. Inks are CTMH as well, cocoa and blush. The flourish stamp is from Laundry Line and the letters are from CTMH. Ribbon and brads are from my stash.

My daughter is in cheerleading with The Valley Stars. I finally got around to doing some layouts. The pictures are from 2006-2007, but I will have more recent ones coming soon.
